SINOTAPH I

2022 | Digital [Clip Studio Paint]

Illustration that doubled up as a study. It had been a long while since I had done anything with this much rendering, mostly due to hardware limitations for the last couple of years. It had only been until recent I had a machine with pen sesnitivity that could make soft, graphite-like looks like this possible.

"What brushes did you use?", if memory serves correct, I used a brush set from True Grit Supply. Pricey, but was able to snag it at a discount.

Sinotaph is a small body of work focused on, damn, the primordial? the flesh? I'm not sure if I have the right words for it. I draw stuff, not write lol.

If this piece is too dark [in the literal sense], that's my bad: my machine's screen is almost too good with how it displays dark tonal values.
